East Maiden is excited to send 41 students and chaperones to camps this summer. Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry will be going to Centri-Kid june 26-30 and Thru-The-Roof Student Ministry will be going to M-FUGE July 16-20. We ask for your help in sending these students to camp by participating in fundraisers! Our first fundraiser will be this Saturday, April 21 at the Maiden Galaxy Food Center. We will sell hamburgers & hotdogs from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. If you would like to provide a dessert for us to sell on Saturday, please have it at the church office by Friday at 3:00 PM. The dessert needs to be sliced and individually-wrapped, ready for sale.

Join us this Saturday and help these students go to camp! We believe God is doing something big through this generation!

Corn Maze…

Join Kid’s Korner as we go to Devine Farms in Newton on Saturday, October 8! We will meet at Devine Farms at 4 PM to enjoy the corn maze, games, activities, live animals, and more! The cost is $5/person. For more information, including directions, please contact the church office.

Back-2-School Pool Party

Can you believe it is time to think about going back to school? Well, at Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry we still have some celebrating to do! There is still some summer left and we are going to Brian & Chasity Drum’s for a Back-2-School Pool Party! Meet at the Drum’s on Friday, August 19 at 6 PM. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. There is a sign up sheet for the other “stuff” to go on the table. For more information, please contact the church office! We hope to see you on Friday ready to wave goodbye to summer and hello to the school year!

Tweetsie Railroad…

Cowboys! Indians! Trains! Excitement! Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry is headed to Tweetsie Railroad on Friday, August 12. We plan to leave the church at 8 AM. With 20 people in our group, the cost will be $28/adults and $17/children. With less than 20 persons, the cost will be $34/$22. If you are interested in going, please contact the church office by 3 PM on Wednesday, August 10.

Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry and Thru-The-Roof Student Ministry are planning to go to Carowinds on Friday, June 17. Right now, tickets are $30/each if the group has fifteen people. If the group is smaller than 15, the tickets will be $35/each. Please contact Andrew by 10 AM on Wednesday to sign up!

End-Of-School Pizza Party…

The 2010-2011 school year is quickly coming to a close. As the summer approaches, Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry is ready to kick off another fun-filled calendar. The summer calendar will be mailed to homes and posted on this website within the next week.

To begin our summer, we will host an End-Of-School Pizza Party on Wednesday, June 15! We will eat and play games from 6:30-7:15 PM. We congratulate all of our students on a great school year!

Strawberry Patch & Family Game Night…

This event has been cancelled because of rainy weather. We hope to reschedule.

May 14 is going to be an awesome day! Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry will leave EMBC at 1 PM to go to Maple Springs Farm to pick strawberries. The cost is $3/quart for the strawberries picked.

Then, we will come back to the church for our first-ever Family Game Night! Each family needs to bring their favorite board game to play with others. We will order pizza for everyone so each family needs to contribute $10 for pizza and drinks.

This is going to be so much fun and your family should not miss this! We need to get a headcount for the pizza order so please sign up in the church sanctuary. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

Kid’s Korner Easter Celebration……

The annual Kid’s Korner Easter Celebration will be on Saturday, April 23 at 10 AM! This annual event is always a hit with kids and families. Meet in the East Maiden sanctuary at 10 AM for our worship rally. This year, each child will make his/her own set of “Resurrection Eggs!” The event will also feature an egg hunt, lots of games and activities, and a pizza lunch. All families are invited to celebrate the wonder of Easter with Kid’s Korner Children’s Ministry on April 23! Come rejoice with us….for Christ is RISEN!
